Butternut Squash
About its cultivation: The butternut squash par excellence. Recognizable by its pear shape and smooth beige skin, it offers very sweet, creamy orange flesh and excellent keeping qualities. It needs good sun exposure to concentrate its sugars and reach full maturity.
A word from PÉPI PÉPI: Its name means "butter nut", a promise of sweetness delivered with every soup! It's a plant that teaches us patience. To promote biodiversity, let its giant flowers bloom: they are an essential larder for Brussels bumblebees at the end of summer. It's the perfect balance between aesthetics and peasant productivity.
Our prices: For each of our plants, we offer 2 prices. The basic price corresponds to the average price you would find in a garden center. The support price values the work behind our plants: heirloom seeds, peat-free potting soil — because elsewhere, peat bogs are destroyed to fertilize your plants —, plants sown, transplanted and pampered by our hands, and zero import-export.
Whatever your choice, it's a good choice!
