Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)

Rosemary is an evergreen Mediterranean shrub with leathery, aromatic needle-like leaves.

• Cultivation: It requires full sun and very well-drained soil, even poor or calcareous. It is very drought-resistant once its root system is well established.

• Uses: Its branches flavor grilled dishes, stews, and infusions. In herbal medicine, it is known for its digestive properties and for stimulating concentration.

• Biodiversity: Its early flowering (from late winter) is a vital food source for bees and bumblebees when few other flowers are available.

The support price (+€1) recognizes the work behind our plants: heritage seeds, peat-free compost — because elsewhere, peat bogs are destroyed to fertilize your plants —, plants sown, transplanted, and cared for by our hands, and zero import-export.
