Sugar Baby Watermelon
The Sugar Baby is the ideal watermelon for urban gardens and short seasons. Its round fruits with dark green, almost black skin, conceal bright red, very crisp and sweet flesh. Its compact size (2 to 4 kg) is much easier to manage in a Brussels vegetable garden than giant varieties, while offering exceptional flavor.
Benefits for biodiversity Its dark color is a masterpiece of natural design that optimizes the absorption of solar heat, making the plant more resilient. By choosing this variety adapted to small spaces, you promote high plant density and more economical water management than with industrial varieties.
PÉPI PÉPI’s little note The "Sugar Baby" perfectly embodies the intelligence of living things. Its dark skin captures UV to heat the fruit from the inside, a principle often observed in syntropy to maximize thermal energy. It's the pure pleasure of biting into a fruit filled with the Anderlecht sun at the end of summer. A small ecological luxury within reach!
Our prices: For each of our plants, we offer 2 prices. The basic price corresponds to the average price you would find in a garden center. The support price values the work behind our plants: heirloom seeds, peat-free soil — because elsewhere, peat bogs are destroyed to fertilize your plants —, plants sown, transplanted and pampered by our hands, and zero import-export.
Whatever your choice, it's a good choice!
